Accessing the MontCo Network

Access to the Montgomery County Network is granted on a need to use basis and subject to restrictions and agreements. If you are not an employee of the County, you will be required to obtain and execute a network access request.

Who Can MontCO Provide Access For?

Montgomery County provides VPN and Certificate Secured Access to to authorized users and systems. The County is extremely aggressive in the prosecution of those who would attempt unauthorized access, those who achieve unauthorized access, and those who engage in unauthorized utilization of information or functionality within the MontCo environment.

Issuing a Network Access Request

Most requests will be made by system administrators and those who manage system administrators. Before making the request, the requester should understand that they are responsible for making sure the connected systems and users meet the standards required by CJISP, JNET, HIPAA, or any other authorizing authority if their systems contain protected information. Montgomery County does not assume responsibility for the appropriate use of the system, we only verify that you have taken responsibility for the security and privacy of the systems that we connect to the network.

Confidentiality Agreement

You will need to download and fill out the MS Word Form or the PDF Form . This agreement must be read and understood, filled out, printed, signed and faxed to Don Sassi at 610-270-0229.

We also accept email of the completed document, provided the attachment is digitally signed.
